NATIONAL COORDINATING COUNSEL

Practice leader

Daniel Costello

OVERVIEW

As National Coordinating Counsel (NCC), we utilize key regional partner firms throughout the country to execute a national plan, with the depth of experience that comes from regional strength.  We prioritize hitting on key issues every time and game plan around resolution right out of the box.

In our role as NCC we lead national advisory council roundtables, host yearly “Fitness and Direction Summits,” advise clients in regard to retention of regional counsel, coordinate company witness testimony, and providing strategic focus to avoid the “Nuclear Verdict” in large loss claims. As part of our role as NCC, we work to select and retain key regional firms to implement a national strategy with best practices in place across all regional firms.  This means only working with proven counsel on a regional basis, who regularly deal with NCC cases and have demonstrated their abilities in these unique cases.  We also actively participate with coordination work, which includes monitoring progress calls on all large loss cases above $250,000, work on expert witness selection, mandating use of forms, experts, and strategy. Program wide dashboards, KPI measurements, and stress tests for firms are all included in our role as part of our role
