Matt Pierotti, former Senior Claims Account Executive at Zurich Insurance has joined Costello Legal. The move allows the firm to broaden its litigation expertise, as well consulting capabilities in the healthcare industry. At Zurich, Mr. Pierotti acted as claims counsel on healthcare/medical malpractice claims of high complexity, with a total valuation exceeding $20 Million, involving primary and excess insurance. Managing Partner Dan Costello extolled Pierotti’s value to the firm in recent comments “We really love to have industry executives at the firm as they truly understand our clients need.
Not only does Matt bring a keen sense of the claims process, but in his prior role he worked directly with hospitals and risk managers to identify and resolve catastrophic medical malpractice claims.” Although Mr. Pierotti’s prior role was national in scope, he also had a strong concentration in major cases in Illinois and Indiana. Mr. Costello continued, “Matt will bring considerably depth in experience not only in the healthcare industry but also prior experience with catastrophic trucking and construction claims, and this positions us very well to serve our clients.” Matt Pierotti started his career in 1999 serving as trial attorney and panel counsel representing various property & casualty insurers, including Fortune 100 companies. He comes to Daniel P. Costello & Associates, LLC after spending the past 11 years working in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry managing complex healthcare claims, and finding effective and innovative ways to manage litigation. He received a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in 1999. He received a B.A. in History from DePaul University in 1996. Matt is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
