Lucas Park a member of the Costello Legal team focusing on large complex matters such as construction injuries, catastrophic loss, and major construction defect cases. Lucas brings a very diverse background of experience to the firm and hopes to use his unique perspective and experiences to assist Costello Legal and its clients. Lucas is a veteran of the United States Army who served with the 10th Mountain Division, and was deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After serving in the military, Lucas attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and obtained his bachelors in Industrial Technology. He then attended the Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he graduated with honors and worked extensively with the school’s moot court team, winning an award for best speaker and receiving high marks in the international moot court competition Jessup.
After law school, Lucas took a job as a prosecutor in Winnebago County working on juvenile cases. While working as a prosecutor, Lucas worked a variety of cases including felonies, and was given an opportunity to establish the first Medical Legal Partnership with the Marion, IL Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Land of Lincoln Legal Aid. As part of that Medical Legal Partnership, Lucas represented veterans and military service members in a variety of civil legal issues. He primarily practiced in Family, Consumer, and Housing Law.
Lucas has been admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and federal court for the Southern District of Illinois. When not practicing law, Lucas enjoys building furniture and photography. He is also an avid football fan (Go Bears!)
