Director of Litigation Management
Josh focuses on developing more efficient structures and workflows at Costello Legal. This also requires coordination with clients to share firm metrics and performance in line with the firm philosophy to “don’t just talk results; show them.” Josh also supervises a team that specializes in helping clients track and control their legal defense costs across large programs and divisions. These have included programs for construction defect, asbestos and special environmental litigation claims. Josh has worked closely with a major insurance company to audit millions of dollars’ worth of legal fees paid out in construction defect cases and to develop a system to better organize and track the progress of the program.
Josh specializes in creating systems where the firm can track its progress handling hundreds of defense cases and provide regular quality metrics to clients. He is currently building out a proprietary database that tracks dozens of firm metrics in real time. He works with clients, litigators, support staff, and vendors to help build a truly 21st Century law firm that is able to leverage its institutional experience and run as efficiently as possible.
Josh is a member of the Illinois bar and received his J.D. magna cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2013 with a certificate in the Program for Environmental and Energy Law. He was selected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review.
