Jessica graduated with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and in the top 12% of her class. While in law school she made the nationally ranked Chicago-Kent Trial Team and finished as a Regional Semi-Finalist in the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition. During law school, Jessica worked for the Chicago Transit Authority, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Chicago-Kent Criminal Defense Clinic.
Jessica is also an academic. Not only was Jessica a Chicago-Kent Legal Scholar, but she also received five CALI awards for obtaining the highest overall grades in Contracts, Evidence, Criminal Litigation, Legislative Process, and Criminal Procedure: Adjudicatory Process. Additionally, during law school, Jessica received practical training in legal research and writing as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael Gallagher in the Illinois Appellate Court. Jessica’s legal research and writing skills were utilized at the CTA, where she helped prepare a CTA attorney for argument before the Illinois Supreme Court.
She is currently a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Association of Justice. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Jessica is a dedicated Chicago sports’ fan. That said, Jessica is a MSU Spartan at heart. She received a Bachelors Degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
