Jared’s practice consists of defending his clients against premise liability and negligence claims, as well as construction personal injury, construction defect, and automobile accident claims. Prior to joining Daniel P. Costello & Associates, Jared represented plaintiffs on a wide variety of civil negligence claims, including many clients who had suffered catastrophic injuries. Overall, Jared helped secure over $12 million in settlements and judgments on behalf of his clients.
Jared graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2015 earning a certificate in the school’s rigorous criminal litigation program. During school he gained valuable trial and pre-trial litigation experience while working as a 711 Law Clerk for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. As a 711 clerk, he second chaired two felony jury trials and first chaired a misdemeanor bench trial, earning a not guilty verdict for his client. Jared was also a member of Chicago-Kent’s Moot Court Honor Society where he competed at the highest levels and gained experience in appellate advocacy. Jared was ultimately a member of the two person National Champion Team for the Veterans Law Moot Court Competition, held in Washington D.C., where he successfully argued in front of three Federal Appellate Court Judges.
Outside of legal endeavors, Jared’s main passion is running. Jared has ran the Chicago Marathon two times, and the Boston Marathon once. Further, he has won the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services’ Race Judicata 5k twice, and regularly competes in other local races.
Jared is licensed to practice in Illinois and in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC) (Board Member & Chair of Mentorship Program), the Chicago Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra (Percussion Section).
